Try and Learn Curling - Public Events

Learn to Curl

Try and learn curling: attend one of our public events!

A major part of the mission of the Long Island Curling Club is to introduce Long Islanders of all ages and ability levels to the sport.  With that in mind, we hold public events throughout the year.

Led by our all-volunteer crew of instructors, we will teach you the basics of sliding, throwing, and sweeping. Space and dates are limited, so keep checking our website for more information!

What is a "Learn to Curl"?

LEVEL: COMPLETE beginner, no prior curling experience (or tried and want a refresher)

Already know that you really want to learn the sport? Are you the one in your family who actively looks for televised curling? You should probably try Learn to Curl.  In two hours on the ice, we'll teach you the basics, and then also put you into a game with (and against) your fellow classmates. You'll learn everything you need to know to get started in our leagues.
